Officially inaugurated on January 4, 1989, EXPOCUBA is the largest fairground in the country. It is 25 kilometers to the south of Havana. The main goal of the Permanent Exhibition of the Republic of Cuba is to display the economic, social, scientific-technical advances to local and foreign visitors. EXPOCUBA has a large Central Pavilion, and other pavilions in which the visitor can grasp a general and specific overview of Cuban reality in the economic and social fields.
EXPOCUBA is also the venue to important and varied national and international activities. An eloquent example is the International Fair of Havana held every year in its grounds.
Likewise, every province of the country holds a cultural day in which its local artists and bands perform in EXPOCUBA.
