Well-known Cuban musician Miguelito Valdés, who was known in the musical world as Mister Babalú, passed away on November 6, 1978.
He began in Cuban music popular forming, next to other young musicians, a sextet in which he played indistinctly several instruments and singing.
Later, Miguelito Valdés was part of other group until he began to work with the Orquesta Casino de la Playa in 1936 with which he became very popular.
In the 1940s, he moved to New York. With his novel style, and with the contagious Cuban conga, Miguelito Valdés continued to be successful in his artistic career.
