Vicentina Antuña, who stood out as an essay writer and a teacher, died in Havana on January 8, 1992. Ha became a P.H. in Philosophy and Letters and in Pedagogy, he also carried out studies of Latin and of Greek-Roman art.
He participated in a congress in favor of Latin and in several General Conferences of UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization).
During his life as an outstanding professional, he assumed several important responsibilities, among them, Director of culture of the Ministry of Education and principal of the School of Letters and Arts of the University of Havana. Because of his work, he was granted several medals, such as the José Martà order as well as the Ana Betancourt and the Mariana Grajales orders.
